Blogging again...

& maybe this time i'll actually keep it up!

Date: May 19th
Location: Sitting on the edge of my bed
Listening too: Please Don't Leave Me - Pink

First off, I'm back. I made a deal with a friend, so this time; i'm back for real!
So, God's been totally dumping blessings on me; And right now, it's in the area of my career!
The story is really long to type out here; but it's pretty much amazing and has lead me to new-found discoveries about myself, and definitely some brand-new passions and creative fires! I am starting my own business as an Art facilitator: delivering workshops on Art Journaling, Vision Boards, and FACE PAINTING!! How rad is that!?
Honestly, It is such a God-job. How blessed am I that I am in love with my creator, who provides such wicked experiences and opportunities that cater to our passions! It's just.. Wow!
Plus, I am also blessed with an amazing mentor and friend who is so incredibly talented and has opened up herself to teaching me, training me, and answering all of my stupid questions!

I don't know if any of you have ever journaled, let alone kept an Art journal, but you REALLY should... especially if you have any ounce of creativity in you! I'll try'n post some stuff on here as I go along, but for the time being; just to get your Curiosity up, watch this video! My friend made it for me, and it's amazing. I love it!

Until next time!!!

April Fools... Nahh

Date: April 1st, 2010
Location: Laying on my Bed
Listening to: A compilation of Brandon and Myself's favourite songs. Currently, Hey Soul Sister - Train

Well, it certainly has been awhile eh? I also realized I have a tendency to start off my blogs with "well, " Ahahah Just ignore that. Now onto the important stuff.

My life right now is crazy!! Not crazy in a bad way, or even crazy in a busy way actually... but it just feels so CRAZY!!
Quick update:
- Brandon is now in basic training, after months of preparing, paperwork, and praying. He is coming up on Week 4 (which is actually week 5 on account of the military starting basic with a week 0 IE: 0-4) and he is loving it. Please keep him in your prayers, as it is difficult. but he's doing awesome, and we are so blessed!
- I resigned from my position at Lorraine's NoFrills this past month (just before Brandon left) I am now officially retired (for the time being) and totally bored out of my skull! My mom is loving it though, so I really can't complain.
- My brothers are officially teenagers! Boy time flies.

And that's pretty much it as far as an update. Now back to my current reality;

I'm getting married in 164 days! Oh my word. 164 days, until my world is turned totally upside down! Until my world is more than just what I live and experience now. Until my life no longer revolves around just me! Until I get to start a family of my own. (Yes, a small one for the time being) Until I am a WIFE! It blows my mind. Absolutely blows it. To think, i'm only 17 and i'm getting the opportunity to step out in my relationship with Brandon, and all that God has for us, and declare it to the world. Hah!
Somedays it sort of feels like a dream, like it's not really happening. But it is, and it's great! But in all of the excitement of getting married and planning; there's definitely some nerves. I'm taking on something huge here. Something I don't think i'll ever fully understand. I'm so EXCITED!

I'm also going back home for the summer! In June, Myself, Pumbaa-June and a whole whack of stuff are heading out on a 2 day Road-trip back to COURTENAY!!! Hallelujah! I'm going to get to do some pretty wicked things when i'm there too! Like, witness my phenomenal Cousin's graduation from college as a Registered Nurse. I'm so proud of her! She's worked so hard and I can't wait to celebrate with her!
of course i'll also be back with everything I love most; family, friends, youth church, Northgate, my amazing beaches and rivers, and the island culture.
I'm pretty much as thrilled as a girl can get right now.
God's got something great coming up this summer! I cannot wait!!

That pretty much covers this blog. I'm sure there'll be more. I was toying around with the idea of discontinuing this, But decided against it for the time being. Let's just see..

New cars, exciting news and looking to the future.....

Date: January 28th, 2010
Location: Diningroom Table
Listening to: I'm So Sick (acoustic) - Flyleaf

first, new cars..
As many of you know, I own a beloved 1991 Chrysler Dynasty... that likes to throw fits most of the time and act out. Most recently, He decided he didn't want to shift out of second, or he would shift REALLY hard, scaring me. So, We decided to look into getting a brand-new vehicle! We applied for financing on a 2010 Kia Rio5, but were turned down due to lack of credit. Needless to say, we had to start used car shopping! That was fun!

We finally decided on a 1995 pontiac grand prix, for only 500.00 bucks! He's pretty rad, power locks, power windows, only issue is... his heater core is leaking, so we're waiting for a new one to come in... and until then, driving poor old Pumbaa.

Thats pretty much it as far as cars go.... but all of this became a big deal because on the 8th or March I am going to edmonton to PICK UP CAITLYN!! AHHH!!!!!
Pretty much, incredibly stoked!!

and of course, as always I am still wedding planning.... and getting very, VERY excited!

Stuck in Edmonton

Date: December 28th, 2009
Location: Holiday Inn Express, Nisku (Edmonton)
Listening to: Working Class Hero - John Lennon

Ahhh!!!!

So, heres the run-down on the trip so far.

We left Cold Lake, yesterday morning at 6:00 am on the Military bus
We got to the airport at roughly 10:00 am and were told that they almost wouldn't let us in because the prime minister was coming in. We had 4 1/2 minutes to get off the bus and into the airport.
Our plane originally was delayed by an hour.
Then it got delayed by 4
Then 8
Then it was delayed and re-routed because of Fog
Then it FINALLY Landed
Then it was broken!
Then it was so broken that it wouldn't be fixed at all that night so we had to find a hotel.

Now, we are booked on another flight set to leave at 9:40 and arrive in Comox at 12:25.

Pray, pray, pray!
